What is Concierge Medicine?

A concierge medical practice provides direct and expeditious medical care to a limited number of patients with whom a long term, personalized relationships is maintained through an annual concierge membership.

What does a concierge membership cost?

A single annual fee is the ONLY cost for the concierge service. Please call us for details. Payment options are available.

When can I see my doctor?

Your annual membership covers all doctor visits. You may schedule an appointment with Dr. Burr as often as needed.

Does Dr. Burr take Medicare or other insurance?

Dr. Burr does not participate with Medicare. Although Dr. Burr does not participate with insurance plans, some costs of the doctor visit may be reimbursed to you by your insurance. Please call us to discuss your individual plan.

Can I file my own insurance claim?

In most cases, yes. We can assist you in filing your own claim so that reimbursable costs will be paid directly to you.

How many visits do I get with my membership?

Membership includes a comprehensive history and physical exam annually, a customized health plan and as many visits with Dr. Burr as you need during the membership year. Memberships also include visits with a Registered Dietitian, personal fitness trainers, and our massage therapist.  We also include a comprehensive laboratory analysis to include hormone evaluation and micronutrient evaluation.

What if I need blood work or other diagnostic tests?

Collection of certain laboratory tests is available at our offices. EKG’s are also included with membership along with some vaccinations such as the Flu vaccine.

What if I need to see a specialist?

Dr. Burr will coordinate all referrals to specialists as needed.

Do I need to be a member of the concierge practice to get an aviation medical exam?

No. Contact our office staff for appointments and exam fees. We service all classes of aviation medical exams (Class I, II, and III).

Do I really need to see a Registered Dietitian, a fitness trainer, or a massage therapist?

These services are a part of your concierge membership. We strongly believe that your overall health will benefit from the utilization of all of our services. Give them a try, and see for yourself!

Can a non-concierge member see the massage therapist, dietitian or executive coach?

Yes. Call our office to arrange an appointment.

Who is eligible for hormone testing, micronutrient testing and bioidentical hormone therapy?

Anyone may be seen for hormone testing, review of findings, and recommendations as to whether or not bioidentical hormone therapy may be right for you. This is also true for those interested in micronutrient testing.  You do not need to be a member of the concierge medical practice to take advantage of these services.

Will you really make house and office calls?

Yes. We offer this service for the convenience of our concierge patients. For times when you are too ill to get to our office to be seen, for example, or your business will not allow you to get away.

Do you see patients in a nursing home or care facility?

Yes. It offers peace of mind to family members knowing that we will see their loved ones when they are unable to get to our office.  We also work closely with many different agencies to make sure that you loved one receives the care that they deserve.
